What will I be doing? 

As a Bar Supervisor at ...At Sloane, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests while maintaining the seamless operation and financial success of the Bar services. You will collaborate closely with our team to enhance guest satisfaction and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role demands excellent communication skills, a customer focused mindset, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships. 


Operational Management: 

  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and team briefings, offering support and guidance to team members when needed to achieve collective objectives. 
  • Apply upselling strategies to boost revenue. 
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and in accordance with hotel protocols. 
  • Implement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards, in compliance with UK laws and regulatory requirements. 
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. 


Managing Restaurant IRD: 

  • Engage in show rounds, daily briefings, and debriefs. 
  • Interact with hotel guests and VIPs, providing VIP reports to the Executive Management Team. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate staff training, including regular tastings. 


Hotel and Guest Relations: 

  • Share operational insights with the Restaurant Manager/ Assistant F&B Manager and relevant departments. 
  • Support the execution of annual special events and promotional plans. 


Financial Performance Management: 

  • Meet established cost of sales targets. 
  • Analyse financial data to support decision-making and forecast potential revenues and costs. 
  • Exercise cost control measures while maintaining service standards. 
  • Enhance operational efficiency to drive financial performance. 
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel accounting procedures, including GDPR regulations for data management. 
  • Stock take and ordering management. 


Health and Safety Management: 

  • Familiarise yourself with relevant health and safety legislation and ensure team members comply with regulations. 
  • Act in accordance with fire safety instructions and promote a safe working environment. 
  • Attend and stay updated on mandatory training and legislative changes. 
  • Represent the department on the Health and Safety Committee. 


Staffing and Team Development: 

  • Assess staffing needs and develop plans for future growth. 
  • Coach, train, and nurture both management and hourly employees. 
  • Elevate team performance, morale, productivity, and enthusiasm. 
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and provide department-specific training. 


Shift Procedure 

  • To ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements while delivering outstanding customer service, strict adherence to the department's designated shift protocol is essential. Flexibility in working hours is required, as per a rotational schedule. This protocol encompasses several responsibilities, such as providing coverage for the Bar/Restaurant throughout Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner services, as well as overseeing shifts for the Main Restaurant. These shifts typically span Lunch and late evening hours.

What will I be doing?
Assist the Front Office Manager in the administration and management of all Front Office Operations while ensuring a smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional service to our guests, and managing a team of dedicated staff members.

  • Previous experience with Guestline PMS is an advantage.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of service.
  • Has good command of the English language, spoken. French language skills are much appreciated.
  • Strong work ethic, agility, and clarity of thought, with the ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines under pressure, despite interruptions.

What will I be doing as Reservations Supervisor?
You will make sure that each phone call and email is answered respectfully and promptly. When interacting with guests, potential customers, and coworkers, you must act in a manner that matches the hotel's values. When performing reservation obligations, you will identify sales leads and potential clients as well as pay the utmost attention to detail.

  • Answer all telephone calls within three rings and to deal with all calls in a friendly and professional manner and to company standards.
  • Deal with room reservation enquiries within the operating standard and send quotes in accordance with customer requirements and within the hotel pricing standards.
  • Ensure all incoming enquiries are dealt with on the same day where possible, or within a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Prioritise any correspondence from the day before and from external guests and clients to ensure efficient customer service, including emails.
  • Follow-up all initial enquiries to convert tentative bookings into definite ones at relevant prices, with a focus on upselling to maximize revenue.
  • Actively develop good relationship with bookers to create greater loyalty for the hotel.
  • Carry out onsite arrival checks prior to arrival.
  • Ensure that all vip and special requests are handled efficiently and accurately, liaising with all relevant teams.
  • Monitor rates accuracy and parity and ensure appropriate distribution.
  • Monitor no-shows and last-minute cancellations.
  • Issue invoices related to future bookings, last-minute cancellations and events.
  • Ensure that commissions are accurately calculated, invoiced and paid timely.
  • Monitor reception team bookings and allocations to ensure accuracy.
  • Offer support and training related to reservations duties to reception teams when required, create sops.
  • Respect any confidential information received regarding guests, management, and ensure adherence with the pci rules and gdpr regulations at all times.
  • Work closely with the commercial team within the hotel and management company.
  • Provide insights into customer trends and feedback, contributing to commercial decision-making.
  • Be permanently aware of current and future availability, as well as any selling strategy or restrictions proposed by management, as well as all short- and long-term promotions available at the hotel.
  • Be responsible for all ota partnerships and setup, ensuring content is attractive and always up to date.
  • Be fully conversant with all systems and computer procedures which are distribution and reservations related.
  • Propose pricing adjustments in order to optimise revenue depending on demand
  • Be fully familiar with the hotel facilities and services and to promote these whenever possible.
  • Meet potential clients/guest to show them the facilities of the hotel.
  • Make accommodation and food and beverage reservations as per guest requests and in line with hotel policies.

What will I be doing as Housekeeping Supervisor?
The Housekeeping Supervisor should be dedicated to working within a team to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in our guest rooms and public areas.

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, address discrepancies, prioritize room cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
  • Assist housekeeping management in overseeing daily activities.
  • Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
  • Document and resolve discrepancies with the Front Desk, and manage room assignment changes.
  • Communicate issues to the next shift and complete necessary paperwork.

  • Prior experience in a Team Leader or Housekeeping Supervisory role within a 5-star property is highly advantageous.

  • Experience with Guestline or the implementation of a property management system is valued but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

What will I be doing? 

As a Hotel Receptionist, your primary responsibility will be to provide courteous and efficient service to all guests and maintain the highest levels of service standards at all times. You will be expected to greet guests in a warm and friendly manner and be a true ambassador for excellent service, dealing with all requests and queries in an efficient and professional manner, whether face-to-face or over the telephone. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a fast and efficient check-in and check-out service and ensuring that all guest requests are handled in a polite and efficient manner
  • Assisting with rooming and delivering in-room amenities, escorting guests to their room and providing an overview of the room features, including our in-room technology
  • Maintaining guests' profiles updated to have an accurate source of information regarding their needs and preferences

  • Maintaining a constant knowledge of the area, including restaurants, bars, galleries, exhibitions, concerts, shops, etc. You should have an up-to-date database of the trendiest establishments in the city and be able to suggest to our VIPs the most elite recommendations and provide exclusive reservations
  • Efficiently dealing with all administrative tasks of the Front of House, ensuring the accuracy of guest accounts and invoicing/debiting of guests' credit cards and cash handling
  • Being a hotel ambassador and making sure that the good neighbourhood policies are considered and respected by our guests.
